As a growing firm with a strong collaborative culture, they work closely with their clients to tackle their toughest challenges, from shaping policy to driving operational efficiency. Their Public Sector practice is expanding, and they are looking for a Senior Consultant to lead and grow their Government Services practice, leveraging their network and expertise to make a real impact.

About the Role

Location: London, UK (Remote/Hybrid with travel as needed)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

As the leader of the Government Services practice, you will:

  • Drive business development, leveraging your network to identify and secure new opportunities within Central Government and related public sector organisations.
  • Develop and execute a growth strategy for the practice, expanding their presence and impact in the Public Sector.
  • Lead and deliver high-quality consulting projects, providing strategic insights and practical solutions to government clients.
  • Build and nurture relationships at senior levels, positioning the firm as a trusted advisor.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop thought leadership and innovative solutions tailored to government needs.
  • Help recruit and mentor junior consultants as the practice grows.

about you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a strong network in UK Central Government, with the ability to open doors and create opportunities.
  • Brings at least 7-10 years of consulting or relevant public sector experience, with a track record of successfully delivering projects.
  • Is commercially minded, with experience in business development, sales, and proposal writing.
  • Has excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, particularly at senior government levels.
  • Thrives in a small, fast-moving consultancy environment, balancing hands-on project delivery with strategic growth initiatives.
  • Is a confident communicator, with strong written and verbal presentation skills.
